I've always valued poetry highly from a young age, as my dad would read poems to me in the evenings before bed, and we would always talk about them. What do they mean? How do they make you feel? Why do you think they wrote it like that? This was an education in itself and helped shape who I am in many ways, and I think poetry itself is one of the best ways we can begin to understand our shared human experience.
I've put this collection together here because I want to read poetry in a beautiful setting. Most of the poetry sites on the web are full of ads, poor typography, bad layout, and bad design; I wanted a place for my own use that felt like reading a well-typeset book of actual poetry. It matters.
And my own poems? You know how it goes, it's really only meaningful to me; though I do appreciate the process of writing it and have always returned to it over the course of my life. The process is the good part: I don't write the poetry as much as the writing leads me. I hope you at least are able to get to know me a bit through them.
P.S.: I've included poetry from authors I enjoy and that I find meaningful. I'm doing so under the intention of fair use, but if any author would like anything taken down, just get in touch and I'd be happy to.
