Bay Panoramas

March 22nd 2006

Stitched these together the other day and thought I’d share. There’s more description on their zenphoto album page, but click the images below for 5000px wide versions (about 500KB each). The first one is definitely better (especially in its original size of 13648×2400 ;-) Maybe you can see it if enough people want it…).

Pretty neat. How do you join your photos to form a panoramic image? I figured out how to do it from a tutorial on the web about a year ago. It’s a neat effect, and I’ve gotten some good wide pictures from it. Here’s a link to my panoramas gallery (I point out I’m testing with a slightly older version of ZP, really must upgrade!)

I used Photoshop CS and its photo stitching feature. There are better ones out there I think that are more suited to the job, but I had that already so I just gave it a shot. As you can see it didn’t do a very good job with the 2nd one. Oh well.

Your panoramas are good as well! I bet larger versions look even better :)
