Why the ROKR will fail

September 26th 2005

Dear Ed Zander,

The ROKR will fail because it is not designed well, and people know it. It is iTunes bootstrapped onto an antiquated piece of hardware without a matching interface. For future success, hire Apple’s designers to make a phone, and give them lots of money.

Good luck with that.

I don’t think even the RAZR will go foward if/when they put iTunes with it. Apple has to design a phone that looks as good as an iPod.

laughable… i mean, if i want an mp3 player – i want an mp3 player, not an mp3, wma, wifi, cellphone, laptop combo… just an mp3 player. if i want a phone, i… you get my drift. the thing is that a phone—with built in mp3 player, camera etc. etc. in a small package (and goodlooking) is good, indeed, but all is not design… a battery that lasts more than four hours would be good.

oh, and the ROKR, it’s ugly, has bad batteries and strange menu’s… that doesn’t make it better ;-P
