Dead Mouse…

February 19th 2005

After at least 4 years of heavy use, my left mouse button finally ate the dust. It won’t click unless I really click hard (and forget double-clicking), and thus is dead for all intensive purposes.

It was a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, and I liked it, especially the scroll wheel. Anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement?

I’m also in the market for a new keyboard. If only IBM would just sell a desktop keyboard taken right out of their ThinkPads… apparently this is basically that. As long as I’m getting a new mouse… right?

Not sure what type of PC you have, but I am a big fan of the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. But I assume you are on a PC, so I would recommend the Logitech Bluetooth Mouse and any Logitech keyboard. I have found both to be awesome on any PC and Bluetooth is way better than any other wireless technology.

If not, I would recommend the new Starck designed mouse.

I love my new Microsoft wireless intellimouse explorer. The tilt wheel is useful in iTunes, but the shape fits my hand well.

I have a Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse (not wireless) and it’s nice if you like simple mice that aren’t wireless (replacing batteries get’s annoying).

BTW: I used to know a Tristan when I was younger that was the same age as you. You wouldn’t be the Tristan that was at St. Katherin’s ~8 years ago?
