Groundhog Day
February 3rd 2005
Yesterday was Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address. As Air America Radio pointed out, “It is an ironic juxtaposition: one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication– and the other involves a groundhog.”

Very…um…”interesting” way to put it.
The movie was a great larf though.

It remains one of my favorite moves to this day. It’s got everything. Humor, humanity, love, time travel, Bill Murray… and it all makes for one perfect film. I meant to watch it on Groundhog day, but I just didn’t have time…
And Ryan, if we have nothing else (which we don’t), at least we liberals have our jokes.
Yes, I like to laugh at both sides. It lightens things up a bit, which is almost always a good thing in politics.
