Boring home life…
Monday, January 5th, 2004
Seriously, there’s nothing to do here. But there is good, free coffee. That’s the good part. I’m mostly kidding though. It’s not all that bad. I mean, there is fast internet, largely thanks to my nagging over the summer, as well as complaining every other time I was home last year. Musta worked well, ’cause we’ve got WiFi now too. (grin).
Tomorrow, I am going to work with my dad. Apparently one of his employees is sick or abducted by aliens or something and isn’t at work, so I will be taking her place. Doing data entry. Fun stuff, that data entry. I could say that it’ll be less boring than sitting on my ass at home doing nothing, but really, being a college student has taught me that one must cherish those times when one can just sit on his ass and do nothing. Every other time is either work or something better than sitting on your ass, which you’d be doing if you had something better to do, so it’s really not something you think about while sitting on your ass. So it’s the best possible thing you can be doing at the time, and for that, you can’t say anything very bad about it. And that’s my philosiphy of sitting on your ass.
One more thing about being lazy at home — it doesn’t require you to wake up at a decent hour. You don’t say, “I’d better set my alarm for 8 tomorrow morning — I have a very important meeting with the couch.” Nope. You get to sleep in. Glory of glories. But tomorrow, because of that “work” thing, I have to wake up at the ungodly hour of 6:30. In the morning. No, I’m not bitter.
If you’re actually doing nothing tomorrow, think of me doing tedious data entry, and perhaps look at this web site, because you know it’s better than sitting on your ass.
Also don’t forget to keep checking trisphoto, ’cause I’m too lazy to put a permanent link up on the top there… maybe tomorrow. ::
